Some people are angry because I support Bernie Sanders which is my right. You can't bully Mzz Mimi so sit back don't even try it! I have a right to support who I want... this is America! I just became disabled a month after received my Masters Degree in Public Administration. I watched Bernie closely and learned that Bernie speaks on the behalf of the voiceless, believes in equality and has a heart for the forgotten in America. He is exceptional and different from the rest of the political establisment. These are my personal thoughts and opinions why I support #BernieSanders.
I hope that we all read that the, “The Associated Press so badly wanted to be first that the manufactured this news with super-delegates putting Hillary over the top when they don't even vote until July 25th. We really need to get rid of superdelegates especially they are bought with promises for their vote. This deception has caused a division which widen the democratic party! We should remember how Bush stole the election and America is still trying to repair from his Presidency too… Deception doesn’t lead to anything good for no Democrat or a Republican candidacy for President. I became an independent because I witness Democrats acquiring Republican values; they participate in inequality efforts such as the justice system, economic and social system especially in local and state levels. Let’s talk about job opportunities, I want to ask the people of color a question especially democrats, how many people of color you see working in your local, state or federal democratic political offices? Democratic politicians will not provide job opportunities or hire qualified people of color in their own office! They also failed in unifying this country with race relations, social and economic issues and if Bernie Sanders doesn’t get the nomination I hope that people of color will take a leadership position and consider creating another party that is for all the people.
So we have two Billionaires to choose from Clinton or Trump who is running for President and have been friends for a long time. While they were friends you believe in one second that the Clinton's didn't hear, know or seen Trump perform some racist acts or had these behaviors? For example, Donald Trump was in federal court for discrimination against blacks in 1973 and you believe the Clinton's didn't know about that? It was made public! He sent his business in China took jobs from American people and you believe the Clinton's didn't know that either? They are acting as though they hate each other to fool the American people. Lastly, I read that Bill Clinton endorsed Mr. Trump. Now all of the sudden they hate each other while they both are fighting to gain wealth and profit from Presidency for themselves to build their legendary resume. Mr. Trump and the Clinton's both made terrible remarks about people of color and perform discriminatory acts, too.
I can't get passed Ms. Clinton what she said about our now President Obama in 2008 that she is staying in the race in case he gets assassinated! In Clinton's earlier years she worked with a segregationist and in 2008 she sound just like that and now you believe in 2016 she changed those values? She incited race division and put in the minds of racist bigots to assassinate Obama. We think she has changed overnight? Change is like a long term process and not an overnight process. Just last month she connected blacks to hot sauce! I don’t even like hot sauce. She supported mass incarceration broke black and brown families and profited from those efforts! Apologize! Monetary support the programs for prisoners to reenter society especially their families with housing and job opportunities. Then we have wall street who dare to hire qualified people of color and the banks who still discriminate widely against people of color with loans. Yet, the same people who are discriminated against supports Hilary’s campaign which she will have to produce favors to Banks as they get richer off the American people backs. She believed in the Iraq war that many of our American innocent people died in that war based on Bush lie. There will never again be an "occupy on wall street" because we have chosen that sort of leadership for the White House who fully support wall street and the wealthy.
What the next thing to do as person of color? What we always do, Pray. Praying is critical because our ancestors who built this country with free labor was very religious to deal with such cruelty and discrimination. I believe that people of color belief in a higher power relieved their pain to survive racism in America. Of course people of color had a feeling of inadequacy in defeating inequality so they turn to the higher power for desperate answers. Today, that same feeling is prevalent, people of color risen “a little” just above the economic standards from the past yet still haven’t overcame inequality economically and socially. Therefore, we run to our “higher power” for answers then we concede to those religious values and rest in the higher power for solitude. We forgot that our higher power wants us to take risk and stand on faith. We no longer have to choose someone who says they are a Democrat but has Republican values, we have a choice to choose someone who wants to see all Americans gain access to “all opportunities” to increase their quality of life. However, we fail to make that choice!
We finally have President of color and many thought he would be able change the social and economic inequality and barriers on the behalf for the people of color, some of us believe he was sent by God; prayers answered! Our President couldn’t get most bills passed because the power of racism and inequality took effect. Statistics proves that people of color are now more educated yet the pay is unequal, higher unemployment rate and make less living wage even if they obtain job opportunities. You don’t see qualified people of color on wall street, corporations, board rooms or any positions that matters that could affect change. Let’s not talk about justice the system sentencing is unequal based on race according to the crime. So many blacks and browns in prison falsely because they are poor and don’t have the funds for proper representation. The sad part people of color fight, jealous and kill each other for crumbs! Still have Jim Crow in the blood and mentaility. Our President legendary bill “Obamacare” these racist want to destroy the Affordable Health Care Act whereas other countries have universal healthcare. I have to admit less than .02% people of color fell through the cracks to become wealthy. As the song sings, “We shall overcome” not yet by statistics.
So Hilary Clinton America’s first woman to be nominated as President from the Democratic party. However, please don’t’ forget Shirley Chisholm, the first woman who is black was nominated for President. Why Hilary Clinton whose husband is the “first black President” some people say, refuses to announce this truth to the American people. It’s a part of history! Oh, I see wait for black history month? Or I guess erase American history? I want to express to women of color please don’t put your hope in Hilary Clinton and if you think you will benefit from Hilary presidency because she is a woman, please don’t. As we are aware that white women are part of affirmative action and benefited greatly more than any person of color and they too are considered a minority. Basically, business or corporations doesn’t have to hire people of color as long as they have a white woman who is a minority. That saves these business from violating Affirmative Action clauses and qualified people of color don’t get an opportunity.
My beliefs and integrity can’t seem to vote for these two Billionaires not because of their race but how they campaign, their background and their race relations history record. Bernie Sanders is my choice and he is white but his belief and record speaks volume. You don’t hear any corruption or deception about him at all. But the people of color can’t grasp to that method. Remember, it’s because of deception that these two politicians Hilary and Trump gain momentum by misrepresenting the facts, fabricating to the American people and remember their money brought them this far. If they both get the nomination, Trump and Hilary #GODHELPUS. I can’t see who is worst between them two, many inform me that Trump is worst and all his wives but the Clinton socialized with this man, Bill endorses this man and received monetary donations supporting Hilary’s campaign, and Hilary threaten all these women Bill had affairs and allegedly raped - you see they both are "like minded". Notice how they can talk about each other because they are familiar with each other and know all about their personal business!
I clearly understand that my ancestors died and fought for me to vote and I will not put my vote in vain either. But I can’t see the difference between Hilary and Trump who has a history together and think just alike. The difference between them is they are running from different party lines and one is a woman and the other is a man. They both talk the same language, has a dishonest past and very deceptive. I don’t’ trust them to do what is morally right however benefit on the necks of the American people for their own personal gain!
